Skin Peels
Many skin problems are associated with an excessive build up of dead skin cells, which make the skin thick and dull, usually clogging the pores. Skin peels can offer a revolutionary way to effectively treat ageing skin, acne, reduce sun damage and hyper pigmentation. This procedure can also help the skin to appear smoother, healthier, plumper and tighter. Most people combine their skin peels with Medical Microdermabrasion to achieve greater results.
Skin Peels - The Treatment
Our skin peels are non glycolic so they do not require pre prepping of the skin. Our skin peels are pain free, non-irritating and doesn't cause your skin to shred or redness. Our skin peels are unique because they work deep within the skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin and encourage cell renewal.
Your skin is thoroughly washed with a mild cleanser, a prepping solution is then applied to the skin. The peel is applied evenly to the skin by your Cosmetic Surgery Nurse. Whilst the peel dries, the skin is kept comfortable with a fan, a 2nd layer may be applied at this stage. Then, a layer of wet gauze is placed over the skin and the peel is activated by the application of cold water. The gauze is removed and the appropriate serum/recovery cream is applied to you skin. The treatment takes 30 minutes and 45 minutes if you are having the Medial Microdermabrasion as you can combine this treatment in the same day.
